Earn Money On The Web

Written By Tal Fighel

Are you looking to earn money on the web? Let's look at 3 easy ways you can earn money using the internet. Affiliate programs, home based business, and internet marketing.

Affiliate programs:

Affiliate programs may be the easiest way to earn money on the web. Why?

With any online business you must have a product or service to sell. First you must create this product or service and then you must be able to fill orders or find people who will sell it for you for a hefty commission.

Affiliate programs allow you to sell another company's service or product and make a commission on every sale or lead. You do not even need to build a website, process the order, ship the product to the person, or anything like that. Your only job is to drive traffic (customers) to your affiliate link and hope that they click on it and buy the product.

An affiliate link is a special URL code that will identify customers coming to the company's site from your advertising. It will likely be the website address with a code attached to the end.

Some affiliate programs also have tiers. That means if someone who is interested in SELLING the product comes through your link and signs up you will also get a small percentage of THEIR earnings. This is also called internet network marketing.

A home based business:

This is a business which is really described as a work at home business. The person reserves a room in the house and builts an office in it. There they have there own computer, telephone, possibly a secretery, and some nice furniture.

A home business can be anything from party plans, to mlm businesses, or any business based in your home and conducted outside of it.

Internet marketing:

This is the use of the internet to advertise and sell real tengible merchandise or services. This involves the use of someone's site and e-mail to inform his/hers customers about a product, answer their questions and feedbacks, and accept their orders directly through the online internet world.

Virtually any product or service can be sold online for a generous commission. This is a great way to earn money if you already have a product.

An excellent program that combines all 3 things, affiliate programs, internet marketing, and your own home business is the Plugin Profit Site (PIPS). In 3 easy steps you can be set up with your own money making website, and internet marketing newsletter that you can run from your own home.

This is, in my view, the best earn money on the web opportunity for someone who doesn't have the knowledge, money, or the time to set up their own home business on the internet. You can learn more here:

Why Your Website Won't Make You Money It's Crazy
By Keir Smith

I go online almost everyday, and I see the same mistakes happening over and over. Month after month, online businesses struggle to bring in a profit from their website. They focus on fancy graffics and tons of other things that don't have anything to do with making your customers want your product or service bad enough to whip out they're wallet and hand you they're hard earned cash.

What's the big mistake these businesses make you ask?

Not having an information product.

And I don't just mean some free junk you can find online. No, I'm talking about something that only you can offer your customers. This gives you an advantage over your competitors. It's got to be valuable. Something that they can use in their business right now.

But today, I have some good news.

I'm going to share 5 critical tips that will skyrocket your business in the next 72 hours. Yep, if you can write your name, then these incredible tips will put more money in your pocket in the next 72 hours than it did all of last week. I'm not kidding.

So listen up, because here they are:

1. Think multiple products/services

This is a no brainer really. Because if your not selling multiple products to your customers then you are leaving a boat load of cash sitting right at their front doorsteps. Think about what your customers can use before and after they use your product or service. Next create an information product that solves a problem this market is having. Or what about doing a joint venture with someone who has a valuable information product that you can offer to this starving market. In the end, you'd split the profits.

2. Create a project plan for product deliveries

If you can't get your products or services to your customers when you say you will, then you'll lose the sale. More importantly though, you'll lose the customer for good. See, we live in a fast paced world. And your customers want their goods and services now. Not tomorrow. So you need to plan out how you will handle delays in your delivery process. How will you sooth your customers need to have what he wants, when he wants it.

3. Define low price products to generate leads

This one is a real doozy. If done right you could find yourself with hundreds of hungry leads in just 30 days. The idea here is that you will use a low priced information product that's packed with valuable information as your lead generator. The way I use it is as an exchange. They will exchange their email address for my top notch information that they can put to use today. You then can follow up with them with multiple offers. Here, what you want to do is give them valuable information, but at the same time point to your mid priced product.

4. Define your mid-price product as a stepping stone

Yep, your low priced lead generator is designed to sell your middle product. It enhances the results. Although your low priced product will work well by itself, combine it with your mid priced product, and the sky's the limit.

5. Create high-end, back-end products

Last but not least, there's your high end product. And if you've created your mid priced product correctly, and by that I mean, your mid priced product should be pointing to what else...thats right...your high end product - then your sales will soar. This is a proven system for creating an automatic sales cycle. You start a chain reaction that happens automatically when you set your information products up in this easy to follow manner.

Deadly Effective Ezine Advertising for Internet Network
Marketing

"Deadly Effective Ezine Advertising for Internet Network
Marketing"

What are Ezines?

Ezines are online newsletter that people subscribe to
because they have an interest in the subject matter
described in the newsletter.

Personally, I love Ezine advertising. I've used this very
strategy that you are about to learn right here and I've
created some exceptional growth in my business. Just to give
you an idea, one Ezine ad that I sent to a list of a little
over 2,000 subscribers that cost me $31, generated 55 new
leads and 12 new sign ups in the course of 24 hours. That's
a 22% lead to sign up conversion ratio! I've had people in
my downline that have had better results than this.

The best part is, the people that joined my business from
this mailing were focused savvy Internet marketers. They
joined my business and just ran with it. I estimate that
those 12 sign-ups account for about 40 new down line members
in the course of a month and 100s at this point.

Wouldn't you like to have the same happen in your business?

It gets me excited just sitting here writing about it!

So let's get on with it . . .

Which Ezines will we target?

We want to advertise in Ezines that target Home Business
Entrepreneurs, Network Marketers, Biz Opp Seekers, Internet
Marketers, Affiliate Marketers, and your companies primary
niche. These are the people that are actively interested in
making money online and in what you have to offer and will
see the most value in what we're offering. There are free
places as well as paid places to find highly targeted Ezines
to send your ads to.

I personally only advertise in the Directory of Ezines
because I find it to be the best and most up to date listing
of quality Ezines. There is a membership cost but I
personally think it's worth it.

QUICK TIP: If you decide to buy a membership I would advice
going with the one year membership as opposed to the
lifetime membership. Because by following the method that I
am about to describe to you this time next year you will
have developed so many strong relationships with great
Ezines that you'll have your own rolodex of great places to
advertise.

You can also use Ezine-Universe.com which is a free
resource.

What type of ad do we want to place?

There are two ways to go about this, the fast way and the
slow way.

To go about this the slow, way would mean we would first place
a small classified ad in the Ezine that we plan to target. We
would then track our response to see if a larger ad is
warranted.

This method works well with direct marketing online because
it decreases risk, but it will drastically increase the time
frame until we see our most wanted response - sign ups.

Why?

We'll have to wait and track responses at each step.

The fast way:

I have been using a faster and a little bit more risky method.
What I do is I call or email the list owner to ask about their
lists to try to get a feel if it is a good match for my ad.

Here is what I want to find out:

How many mailings do they send out a week?

You don't want to send an ad to an Ezine that sends out more
than 2 solo ads a week because most likely no one will read
them.

How many new subscribers does the Ezine get in a month?

-You want an Ezine that gets a steady flow of new
subscribers.

Have similar ads to mine for my same business run in the
recent past?

=You don't want to advertise in an Ezine that has had similar
ads run in the past month or so.

Does the Ezine owner have a list of references?

-I ask if the Ezine owner can provide a short list of
references that I can contact to see what their response
rates have been like in that particular Ezine.

Is there a newsletter archive that you can take a look at?

-Since you're going to be running the ad you want to see the
layout of the Ezine so you know how your ad will look.
What do you do next?

Find a few good Ezines and ask the List Owner some of the
above questions to help you decide if their list is a good
match for your offer.

After you've done your homework you'll want to go ahead and
place your solo ad. Place about 3 or 4 at a time and be sure
to track your click- thru rates.

I’ve got to tell you a funny story that happened to me recently…

I’ve got to tell you a funny story that happened to me recently…

A few weeks ago, I was playing golf with a friend of mine who owns a chain of martial arts studios. While we were playing he began telling me about how he had just spent over $50,000 having a website designed to promote his business.

He went on for over thirty minutes bragging about how beautiful the graphics and pictures were and how much he spent on this and how much he spent on that. He even told me how his graphic designer had created a large flash animated header to go at the top of every page showing him breaking a brick in half.

Well… After I had given him plenty of time to “tell me all about” his new website, I asked him a few questions.

Q - “So how long has your site been online?”

A - “…About thirty days.”

Q - “Is it getting much traffic?”

A – “Oh yeah. Tons! I’m spending over $500 a day on pay-per-click traffic at Google and Yahoo. I think we are averaging over 1,500 visitors a day!”

Q – “What’s your conversion rate?”

A – “…Huh? My what?”

Q – “Your conversion rate. You know… The ratio between the number of visitors you are getting to the number of sales you are making.

A – “Umm… Well, I’m not sure. We’ve only made 11 sales so far. But my web designer says that once the search engines index my site the sales will pick-up.”

After a few minutes of stunned silence, I said to him, “Let me get this straight. You dumped $50,000 into a website, and you’ve spent $500 per day for he last 30 days driving traffic to it and you’ve only made 11 sales?!”

“Well… Yeah. Why? Is that bad?”

“Is that BAD?!?! Dude! That’s HORRIBLE! You’ve been financially RAPED by a pack of nerds!”

Now it was his turn for stunned silence. After thirty seconds of looking like a deer caught in the headlights, he finally muttered, “…but ..but, the site looks so cool. And they tell me that traffic and sales will get better when the search engines come by…”

“Look. I don’t care what they are telling you. You don’t have a traffic problem, you have a CONVERSION problem. A big one!”

After giving him a second to let the reality sink in I said, “I’ll tell you what. I’ll bet you $250 that I can VASTLY improve your website’s conversion rate in one day. You make the changes that I tell you to make and if your sales don’t improve significantly, I’ll give you $250 cash.”

All he said was, “Eric, You’ve got yourself a deal.”

“Okay. The first thing I want you to do is lose the animated flash header.”

“What?! Are you nuts? That thing cost me over $3,500! They even came out to one of my Dojo’s with their lights and cameras to film me breaking that brick. You haven’t even seen it yet. Come on… I know if you see it you will think it’s cool!”

“I don’t need to see it. I just need you to remove it. It’s hurting your sales.”

After a bit more protesting and grumbling he said. “…Alright. Fine. I’ll take it down for now, but if sales don’t go up its going right back up and YOU OWE ME $250!”

…four days later I get a call.

“Eric… Man, I can’t believe it! We lost the flash header and our site went from one sale every two or three days, to four or five sales EACH day… What do I need to change next?”

Because his site had so many things that needed to change, I recorded a two-hour screen capture video, detailing each step he needed to take to improve his conversion rates.

After watching the video and implementing just a few of the suggestions so far, my blackbelt friend is experiencing much better conversion rates and overall sales.

…So what do I want you to learn from this story?

The first lesson is this:

Most web designers don’t have the first clue about how to convert traffic!

Just think about it...

Over 99% of all web sites today are designed by programmers or graphic artists -- NOT marketers. Most of these guys have never earned a dime selling anything online except their overpriced (and under performing) web design services.

Sure... They can make you a beautiful, great looking website with all the fancy bells and whistles. Just one problem... It won't sell anything!

(I’m sure that somewhere out there in Cyberspace is a group of very nervous nerds, hiding under their desks from one very angry blackbelt!)

The second lesson is:

Small changes to your website can produce huge results.

By getting an expert, outside evaluation of your websites design, copy, usability and sales effectiveness, you can quickly turn a poorly performing website into a raging cash machine!
